Saudi AI Authority Shares Data, AI Training Plans

The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority presented the Kingdom's national frameworks for building expertise in data and artificial intelligence during side sessions of an international forum focused on the ethics of AI.

The Authority used the platform to highlight how Saudi Arabia is developing local talent and institutional readiness in these fast-growing fields, sharing its approach to preparing people and organizations for a data-driven future.

The presentations centered on capacity-building efforts — the programs, standards, and structures designed to grow national skills in data science and artificial intelligence. Discussions were held alongside wider international conversations on how AI can be developed and used responsibly.

Why it matters

For residents and professionals across the Kingdom, investment in data and AI capabilities points to expanding opportunities in the technology sector, from training pathways to career growth. As these fields become part of daily services and workplaces, building local expertise helps ensure the Kingdom shapes the tools it will increasingly rely on.

The focus on ethics alongside skills also signals an intention to grow these capabilities responsibly, keeping fairness and accountability at the center as data and artificial intelligence become more deeply embedded in everyday life.
