Ronaldo Winner Keeps Al Nassr Perfect on Matchday 4

Cristiano Ronaldo scored the decisive goal as Al Nassr beat Al Taawoun 2–1 on Matchday 4 of the 2026–27 Roshn Saudi League, played on 28 August 2026 at Al-Awwal Park in Riyadh.

Al Taawoun took an early lead through Bassam Al-Hurayji in the 11th minute. Al Nassr responded before the break, with Samú Costa equalizing in first-half stoppage time (45’+5). After the restart, Ronaldo settled the contest in the 50th minute, finishing from close range after a deflected shot from Mohamed Simakan.

The result kept the reigning champions on a perfect run: four wins from four matches, 12 points, a goal difference of +9, and top spot in the table while remaining unbeaten.

The winner carried extra significance for Ronaldo. It was recorded as the 978th goal of his career for club and country, leaving him three short of 1,000. The strike also moved him to a club scoring record for Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League.
