The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia issued royal decrees appointing Salman bin Yusuf Al-Dosari as Minister of Media and Ibrahim bin Mohammed Al-Sultan as Minister of State and member of the Cabinet. Both officials took the constitutional oath before King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman following the appointments, which came as part of a Cabinet reshuffle in March 2023.
Salman bin Yusuf Al-Dosari was appointed Minister of Media by royal decree on 5 March 2023 and continues to serve in the role. In addition to leading the ministry, he chairs a number of media-related bodies, including the General Authority for Media Regulation and the board of the Saudi Press Agency.
Ibrahim Al-Sultan, in his capacity as Minister of State and Cabinet member, also serves as chief executive of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City. He is involved in several major national initiatives, including the Riyadh Digital District, part of efforts to position the capital as a leading global technology hub.
For residents and expats, these appointments reflect the continuity of leadership across key sectors, from media regulation to the ongoing development of Riyadh. It is worth noting that no new government service fees, procedures, or validity periods for citizen and resident transactions are tied to these royal decrees, and no changes to existing digital service channels were announced in connection with the appointments.
