Ibrahim Al-Sultan Appointed Minister of State

Ibrahim bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al-Sultan serves as Minister of State and a member of the Council of Ministers in Saudi Arabia, a role he continues to hold in 2026.

Al-Sultan was named to the position under Royal Order No. A/307 issued on 5 March 2023, which appointed him Minister of State and a Cabinet member. He remains part of the Council of Ministers in his current role.

In addition to his Cabinet responsibilities, Al-Sultan is the chief executive of the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, a body tasked with the planning and development of the capital.

Why it matters

Cabinet-level appointments shape how national priorities are coordinated across government bodies. With Al-Sultan also leading the Royal Commission for Riyadh City, his combined roles link decision-making at the Council of Ministers with the ongoing development of the capital — an area of direct interest to residents and businesses in the Riyadh region.

For residents and expatriates following the growth of Riyadh, the continuity of leadership at both the Cabinet and city-development levels reflects the steady pace of projects and services being planned for the capital.
