The Saudi Arabian Football Federation and the Saudi Pro League are coordinating national football competitions and fixtures for early September 2026, using central match and venue calendars that feature several high-profile games in Riyadh.
Among the standout Riyadh fixtures, Al Hilal is set to face Neom SC at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh on Monday, 7 September 2026, with an evening kick-off. On Friday, 4 September 2026, Al Ahli meets Al Riyadh, with Al Riyadh as the visiting club. Further fixtures in the same period involve Al Riyadh, including matches against Al Khaleej and, later, against Al Kholood.
Rules, licensing and player registration
Under the official competition regulations for the 2026–2027 season, clubs must obtain prior federation approval before scheduling and announcing matches. Domestic league licensing and club participation are governed by the Club Licensing Regulations for 2025–2026, which set financial, infrastructure, and legal criteria clubs must satisfy to take part.
Player registration involves fees paid by clubs. The registration fee for a player at a Pro League club is 2,000 SAR, while it is 1,000 SAR for players at clubs in other divisions. Minimum monthly player salaries are set at 8,000 SAR for Pro League clubs, 4,000 SAR for First Division clubs, and 2,000 SAR for Second and Third Division clubs. These fees must be settled and evidenced as part of registration for the 2025–2026 and 2026–2027 seasons, and the amounts may be updated from time to time.
For fans across Riyadh and beyond, the coordination means clearer schedules and venues. Matches are organized by matchweek, dates, and locations, covering Riyadh clubs such as Al Hilal, Al Nassr, Al Shabab, and Al Riyadh and their home games at Riyadh stadiums, including Kingdom Arena, home of Al Hilal.
