Saudi Arabia has approved a total of SAR 421 million in financing to support the Kingdom's growing gaming and esports industry, with 82 entities benefiting and more than 127 games backed as of the end of the fourth quarter of 2025.
The dedicated financing portfolio was expanded during 2025 from SAR 300 million to SAR 458 million, an increase of 53%, reflecting rising demand from studios, developers and service providers across the sector.
Delivered through the Social Development Bank, the gaming and esports product offers financing of up to SAR 45 million for eligible entities. Financing ceilings are set by enterprise size: SAR 2 million for micro-enterprises, SAR 12 million for small enterprises, SAR 45 million for medium enterprises, and SAR 30 million for foreign enterprises. Repayment terms extend up to eight years, with a grace period of up to 24 months.
Who can benefit
The program covers a wide range of activities, including game studios and publishers, distributors, retailers, gaming and esports service providers, esports clubs, tournament organizers, and gaming and tournament centers.
The application process is fully digital and does not require branch visits. Eligible entities can apply through the Social Development Bank's online service and the government services portal.
For residents and entrepreneurs in Riyadh, Jeddah and beyond, the expanded funding signals continued momentum behind one of the Kingdom's fastest-growing creative and technology sectors, offering local businesses and start-ups a clearer path to capital and long-term growth.
