Authorities signed a SAR 70 million investment contract on 16 September 2026 with Unigaz Arabia to establish an integrated gas storage, filling and distribution plant in Hail city, in a move set to strengthen the region's energy logistics network.
The plant will be built on a site of approximately 200,000 square meters in Hail region. Under the agreement, Unigaz Arabia is responsible for developing, investing in, managing, operating and maintaining the facility. The contract was signed under the supervision of the Governor of Hail Region, at the emirate headquarters in Hail.
The project is intended to serve as a modern logistics hub for residential and commercial gas needs across Hail, while creating employment opportunities for local male and female workers.
Part of a wider LPG program
The plant forms part of the LPG filling, storage and bulk distribution licensing program. Under this program, Unigaz Arabia holds three LPG filling and storage facility licenses in Riyadh, Hail and Al-Ahsa, in addition to a wholesale LPG distribution license across the Kingdom.
For residents and businesses in Hail, the development promises a more reliable local supply chain for gas services. As of mid-September 2026, no public details have been released on specific gas cylinder or end-user prices, service fees, or exact construction milestones beyond the plant's designation as an integrated storage, filling and distribution facility.
