Saudi Arabia has been provisionally awarded the hosting rights for the AFC Champions League Elite finals for three more seasons, running from 2026–27 through 2028–29, extending the Kingdom's role as a central stage for Asian club football's showpiece event.
The announcement follows Jeddah's hosting of the 2025–26 AFC Champions League Elite finals. The centralized final stage ran from 16 to 25 April 2026, with matches held at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium and Prince Abdullah Al Faisal Sports City Stadium, both in Jeddah. The final was played at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium on 25 April 2026.
Saudi Arabia's football federation had already been appointed as host association for the 2024/25 and 2025/26 final stages. The new provisional rights build on that arrangement, keeping Asia's top continental club competition in the Kingdom for a sustained period.
For residents and football fans across Riyadh, Jeddah, and beyond, the extended hosting means several more years of top-tier continental matches on home soil, giving supporters direct access to some of Asia's leading clubs and players without needing to travel abroad.
The move also reflects the Kingdom's growing profile as a host of major international sporting events, with modern stadium infrastructure in Jeddah playing a central role. Full details on match schedules, venues, and ticketing for the upcoming editions are expected to be confirmed closer to each tournament.
