Saudi Business Revenues Rise 4.9% in July 2026

Business activity across Saudi Arabia continued to strengthen in July 2026, as the Operating Revenues Index for short-term businesses reached 113.3 points, based on 2023 as the base year of 100. The reading marks a 4.9% increase compared with July 2025 and a 1.2% rise from June 2026.

The annual growth was driven mainly by manufacturing activities, whose operating revenues climbed 13.5% year-on-year. Financial and insurance activities followed with a 9.0% increase, while information and communication (ICT) activities rose 6.5%. Construction activities added 1.6%, and wholesale and retail trade, including the repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles, edged up 0.8%.

On a monthly basis, mining and quarrying activities led the gains with a 6.4% increase between June and July 2026. Information and communication activities rose 3.7%, manufacturing added 0.8%, accommodation and food services increased 0.6%, and construction inched up 0.1%.

Why it matters

The Operating Revenues Index is one of the short-term business indicators used to track the pace of economic activity across key sectors. A steady rise points to healthy demand and expanding business output, which can support job opportunities and services relevant to residents and expats alike.

It is worth noting that the index is a statistical measure and does not reflect fees or prices in Saudi Riyal, nor is it accessed or processed through service platforms such as أبشر, مقيم, قوى, ناجز, نفاذ, or توكلنا.
