Domestic delivery orders across Saudi Arabia reached 132.3 million in the second quarter of 2026, a 30.5% increase compared with the same period a year earlier, The figures point to sustained momentum in e-commerce and app-based logistics nationwide.
The growth reflects expanded services, improved operational efficiency, and faster order fulfillment across licensed delivery companies. The metric covers orders handled by licensed delivery firms and app-based platforms operating inside the Kingdom, spanning food, grocery, parcel, and retail e-commerce deliveries.
Where the orders came from
Riyadh accounted for the largest share at 44% of Q2 2026 delivery orders, followed by Makkah at 22% and the Eastern Province at 16%. Madinah made up 5%, while the remaining 13% of orders were distributed across other regions of the Kingdom.
The reported figures describe volumes and regional distribution rather than individual pricing. The data do not set exact delivery fees or national price caps and no new nationwide standard delivery fee was announced. Typical app-based pricing in 2026 remains set dynamically by each platform, usually combining a base fee plus distance and demand-based components that vary by city, time, and service type.
For residents and businesses, the numbers underline how central delivery apps have become to daily life in the Kingdom's major cities. The steady rise in orders signals continued investment in logistics networks and reflects growing consumer reliance on online shopping and on-demand delivery services.
