A Saudi-German Sports Economic Roundtable held within the framework of the Sports Investment Forum (SIF) has brought together business leaders from both countries to explore new opportunities in the Kingdom's fast-growing sports sector. The session, staged in Berlin, focused on drawing German expertise and capital into Saudi sports industries.
The Saudi delegation was led by the Sports Investment Forum and the National Committee for Sports Investment at the Federation of Saudi Chambers. Discussions centered on strengthening sports investment under رؤية السعودية 2030 and building investment bridges between Saudi and German companies across clubs, infrastructure, technology, sports tourism, and events.
Momentum ahead of SIF 2026
The roundtable comes as the Kingdom prepares to host the main Sports Investment Forum in الرياض from 20 to 22 April 2026 at The Ritz-Carlton, with a further specialized sports investment event scheduled for 3 to 5 May 2026. The 2026 forum is expected to draw more than 5,000 participants from 31 countries, with over 50 panel discussions and workshops, more than 100 investment opportunities, and over 70 agreements and strategic partnerships.
Earlier editions underline the sector's scale: one previous forum presented 88 investment opportunities and 20 strategic projects valued at over 20 billion ريال سعودي, while a related regional event in الرياض in 2026 hosted more than 420 senior delegates in strategic partnership with وزارة الاستثمار and the Ministry of Sport.
For residents and expats, the growth of sports investment signals expanding opportunities in jobs, entertainment, and world-class facilities. Sports tourism, women's sports, technology, and stadium infrastructure are highlighted as key growth areas under رؤية السعودية 2030, positioning the Kingdom as a rising destination for global sporting events and partnerships.
