Saudi National Day 2026 Events Begin Across Kingdom

Celebrations marking Saudi Arabia's 96th National Day in 2026 have begun across the Kingdom's regions under the official slogan "Our Pride Lies in Our Nature." The unified national identity was launched by the General Entertainment Authority, which is providing official visual assets and an event framework for government, private, and non-profit entities to use across their campaigns and activities.

The 2026 identity is built around six core traits of Saudi character: authenticity, courage, determination, generosity, hospitality, and vision. These are expressed through sub-themes such as "Our Pride Is in Our Courage," continuing the same slogan and concept introduced for the previous year as a single, cohesive national brand.

For workers in the private and non-profit sectors, the National Day public holiday falls on Wednesday, 23 September 2026 (12 Rabi Al-Thani 1448H), as announced by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.

What to expect

Events across major cities including Riyadh and Jeddah feature fireworks, laser and drone shows, heritage villages, concerts by the National Orchestra and Choir, and family activities, all organized under the 2026 identity. The event framework highlights three main pillars: concerts, fireworks, and air shows.

In Jeddah, air shows held under this year's slogan concluded at Roshn Waterfront in Jeddah Governorate, with aerial displays typically staged in the evenings during the days leading up to 23 September. Specific ticket prices and booking details have not been publicly listed at this stage.

For residents and expats, National Day remains one of the year's biggest community occasions, offering families a wide range of free and ticketed activities across neighborhoods and public venues. سعودي ليفنج will continue to share details on timings and locations as more information becomes available.
