Sehhaty & Seha Apps Guide: Book, Track, Verify Health

If you live in Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Health's Sehhaty app is one of the most useful tools you can keep on your phone. It brings more than 40 government health services into a single place — from booking clinic appointments and viewing lab results to accessing prescriptions, vaccination records, sick-leave reports, and official health certificates. Best of all, it is free to download and free to use for Ministry of Health (MOH) services, whether you are a Saudi citizen or a resident. In this Saudi Living guide, we walk you through what Sehhaty does, how to register, and how to get help when you need it.

What Sehhaty is and who it's for

Sehhaty is the unified digital health platform of the Saudi Ministry of Health, serving everyone in the Kingdom — citizens, resident expats, dependents, children, the elderly, and people with special needs. It is available in both Arabic and English, so you can switch to whichever interface you're most comfortable with. Adoption has grown to well over 24 million users across the country, making it a genuinely mainstream part of daily life.

Importantly, Sehhaty works within its own login ecosystem. For normal use you do not need to go through any separate government portal — you simply sign in with your National ID or Iqama and mobile number inside the app.

Is it free? Understanding the fees

The app itself is free on both the Apple App Store and Google Play, and there is no subscription or usage charge in SAR for accessing MOH e-services. Here's how the costs actually work:

  • MOH appointments booked through Sehhaty are free for Saudi citizens and subsidised for resident expats under basic health coverage.
  • Private-sector care is separate — any fees there are billed directly by the private provider or through your health insurance, not through Sehhaty.
  • Reports and certificates, such as sick-leave documents, are not a paid "premium" feature; their validity is set by the medical report itself and the linked employer or government systems.

How to register and set up your account

Getting started takes only a few minutes:

  • Download "صحتي | Sehhaty" from the Saudi App Store or Google Play.
  • Register using your National ID or Iqama number, your mobile number, and the verification code sent to you by SMS.
  • Link family members or dependents under your account using their ID or Iqama where applicable — handy for booking appointments for children or elderly relatives.
  • Choose Arabic or English as your interface language.

Once you're in, your health records, past visits, and any linked profiles are available from the main dashboard.

Booking an MOH appointment step by step

One of the most-used features is appointment booking at government clinics. To reserve a slot:

  • Open the appointments section in the app.
  • Select the health facility nearest or most convenient to you.
  • Choose the specialty or clinic you need.
  • Pick an available date and time.
  • Confirm the booking — you'll see it saved under your appointments.

You can also manage the appointment afterwards, and switch between family profiles if you're booking on behalf of a dependent.

Everyday services you'll actually use

Beyond appointments, Sehhaty puts a lot into one place:

  • Lab and test results — view them once they're released.
  • Prescriptions — access your medication records.
  • Vaccination records — useful for schools, travel, and personal reference.
  • Sick-leave reports — issued and verified through the platform.
  • Health certificates and other digital documents.

Getting help and support

The app is operated by the Ministry of Health, and support is straightforward:

  • Call the MOH 937 health contact center for issues with appointments or services.
  • Reach out via the official Sehhaty account on X (@Sehhatyapp) or the 937 account for technical help.
  • Email support@sehhaty.sa for detailed queries.

During Ramadan, MOH 937 and Sehhaty support run in split shifts — roughly 10:00–15:00 and 21:00–00:00. Outside Ramadan, support follows standard MOH service hours.

A quick tip: some users occasionally run into navigation quirks or technical glitches, and the app is updated regularly to address them. If something isn't loading, update to the latest version first, then contact 937 if the issue persists. For anything involving exact fees or the validity of a specific report, always confirm the details directly through the Ministry of Health's official channels.
