The Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) launched a nationwide initiative called 10 Billion Steps on 29 July 2026, inviting residents across Saudi Arabia to log their daily walking and help reach a collective target of 10 billion steps.
The initiative runs from July through December 2026, with participation open until 31 December 2026. It carries the slogan “Don’t Count Your Steps. Let Them Count,” encouraging people to focus on staying active while their steps add up toward the national goal.
Joining is straightforward. Participants download the official SFA mobile application, connect a phone or a wearable device, and record their daily steps. The app tracks individual progress, adds each person’s steps to the national total, and offers community challenges to keep participants motivated.
Why it matters
The campaign gives residents in Riyadh, Jeddah and across the Kingdom a simple, shared way to build healthier daily habits. By turning ordinary walking into a collective effort, the initiative connects everyday movement to a visible national target that anyone can contribute to.
There is no participation fee, and no payment in Saudi Riyal is required to take part. No government platform is listed as a requirement to join. Participation remains valid throughout the initiative period through 31 December 2026, and no changes to the launch terms, fees, target, or process have been announced.
