SFDA Warns Over Glass in Arla Protein Pudding

The Saudi Food and Drug Authority has warned consumers against eating selected Arla Protein Pudding products made in Denmark, citing the possible presence of small glass fragments. The products are being urgently withdrawn from Saudi markets.

The warning covers four flavors: Chocolate, Hazelnut Latte, Salted Caramel, and Crème Brûlée. The affected packaging comes in cartons of six 200-gram containers.

Consumers are urged to check the batch numbers printed on the packaging. The affected batches are: ES26257001, ES26282001, ES26284001, ES26284002, ES26284003, ES26247001, ES26274001, ES26276001, ES26276002, ES26267001, and ES26273001. Anyone who has these products should not consume them and should dispose of them immediately.

Why it matters

Small glass fragments can cause serious injury if swallowed. The authority advised anyone who has already eaten an affected product to seek medical care if they experience throat pain, abdominal pain, nausea, or vomiting.

At the time of the warning, no related incidents had been reported in Saudi Arabia. Consumers can report suspected food-safety violations through the unified contact center on 19999.
