Three Arabian Gazelle Births at Imam Turki Reserve

The Imam Turki bin Abdullah Royal Nature Reserve Authority has recorded three new Arabian gazelle births in the reserve's Al-Taysiyah area during the second quarter of 2026, marking another step forward in ongoing wildlife conservation efforts across the protected zone.

The new arrivals follow a strong start to the year for the reserve. In the first quarter of 2026, monitoring teams logged more than 40 Arabian sand gazelle births, 12 rock hyrax births, and more than 90 wild births in total, reflecting steady growth in the reserve's native animal populations.

Conservation work behind the numbers

The authority credits the results to a combination of field monitoring, habitat management, and reintroduction and conservation programs. These efforts aim to restore natural balance in the reserve and support species that are native to the Arabian environment.

For residents across the Kingdom, the births are a positive sign that long-term protection programs are helping rare species recover in their natural habitats. Reserves like this one play a key role in safeguarding Saudi Arabia's biodiversity and preserving the country's natural heritage for future generations.

The reserve authority continues to track wildlife activity and manage habitats to encourage further breeding success in the seasons ahead.
