Three Saudi tennis players — Yara Al-Hogbani, Lara Bukhari and Maissane Ben Hassine — have been selected to represent Saudi Arabia at the 2026 Billie Jean King Cup, set to take place in Da Nang, Vietnam, from October 21 to 24, 2026.
The trio's selection marks another step in the growing presence of Saudi players on the international tennis stage. The Billie Jean King Cup is one of the sport's leading team competitions for women, bringing together national squads from around the world.
For the Saudi community, the announcement is a reminder of the rapid rise of women's sport in the Kingdom. Over recent years, more opportunities have opened for Saudi athletes to train, compete and gain experience at regional and global events, and tennis is among the disciplines seeing increased participation.
The 2026 edition in Vietnam will give the three players a chance to test themselves against international competition and represent the Kingdom in a high-profile team format. Families, students and sports fans across Riyadh, Jeddah and beyond are likely to follow their journey with interest as the tournament approaches.
Saudi Living will continue to share updates on Saudi athletes competing at home and abroad throughout the season.
