Watkins Scores on Al Hilal Debut in 3-0 Win

Al Hilal opened their latest Roshn Saudi League fixture with a commanding 3–0 win over Al Ahli at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, a result headlined by a debut goal from new signing Ollie Watkins.

Watkins, appearing for the first time in Al Hilal colours, found the net during the encounter to help his side take full control of the match. The comfortable three-goal margin underlined Al Hilal's dominance on home turf in front of their supporters.

The clash between two of the league's most followed clubs drew strong attention from fans across the Kingdom, with Kingdom Arena providing the stage for one of the standout meetings of the round.

Why it matters

For football followers in Riyadh and beyond, the arrival of high-profile international players continues to raise the profile of the Roshn Saudi League. A debut goal for Watkins gives Al Hilal fans an early reason for optimism as the season progresses.

The result also strengthens the ongoing rivalry between Al Hilal and Al Ahli, two clubs with large followings among residents and expats alike. As matchdays continue to attract growing crowds and international talent, the league remains a central part of the Kingdom's expanding sports scene.
