Al Hilal defeated Al Ittihad 3–2 on 10 October 2026 at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, in the eighth round of the Saudi Pro League, with English forward Ollie Watkins playing a decisive role in front of 22,808 spectators.
Watkins scored one goal and set up the other two, contributing to all three of Al Hilal's strikes. The hosts took the lead through Gabriel Martinelli in the 11th minute, before Watkins doubled the advantage in the 30th. Crysencio Summerville added the third in the 64th minute.
Al Ittihad responded through Youssef En-Nesyri and a late penalty from Steven Bergwijn, but the comeback fell short. The result ended the visitors' seven-match unbeaten start to the league campaign under coach Jens Wissing.
The victory returned Al Hilal to the top of the Roshn Saudi League with 21 points, reinforcing their title ambitions early in the season.
Watkins joined Al Hilal from Aston Villa in August 2026 on a reported three-year contract. His latest display took his tally to five goals and four assists in five league appearances, making him one of the standout signings of the campaign so far and a key attraction for fans attending matches in Riyadh.
