Authorities in the Al-Baha Region are preparing for moderate rainfall forecast for Saturday, 12 September 2026, under an orange alert in the national early warning system. The alert is valid for the same day, with rain expected to begin and end within its window.
Weather forecasts for Al Bahah city list conditions of thunderstorm rain and windy weather, with temperatures of around 30°C maximum and 20°C minimum, and humidity near 75%. The orange level indicates a heightened but controlled risk, calling for caution during outdoor activities, road use, and park visits.
Municipal readiness
The Al-Baha Municipality has activated its rainy-season emergency plan, which includes more than 39 support sites to strengthen field response across parks, roads, and public facilities. Municipal emergency teams are intensifying readiness to address rain and fog risks, with plans focused on public safety and keeping services running in public spaces and infrastructure.
Preparations include continuous cleaning of culverts and removal of rain residue at various locations, covering roads, drainage networks, and access routes to parks and public facilities. Field teams carry out round-the-clock tours to monitor establishments and public areas, and violating establishments may face closure and financial fines for non-compliance with safety requirements.
The municipality's emergency center receives rain-related reports through the unified municipal number 940, used for reporting rainwater accumulation, infrastructure problems, and health or safety violations. Residents can also access municipal services and some park-related requests through the Balady platform and app.
Civil protection guidance urges residents and visitors to avoid valleys, dams, and areas where water gathers, to follow official instructions, and to monitor updates through the national meteorology and civil defense channels.
