A royal order has appointed Dr. Abdullah bin Ahmed bin Abdullah Al-Maghlouth as Deputy (Vice) Minister of Media at the excellent rank in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The appointment takes effect from the date the order was issued, 12 February 2026.
The royal order, numbered O/267, was issued on 24 Sha'ban 1447 AH, corresponding to 12 February 2026, and published in the official gazette Umm Al-Qura in issue 5144 on 13 February 2026. The order stipulates that it be communicated to the competent entities for adoption and implementation.
Prior to this promotion, Al-Maghlouth served as Assistant Minister of Media at the excellent rank, a role he assumed following a royal order issued on 28 Jumada I 1445 AH, corresponding to 12 December 2023. He held that position until his elevation to Deputy Minister of Media in February 2026.
As a direct personnel appointment made by royal order, the decision does not involve any fees, service charges, or transactional procedures, and takes effect immediately upon issuance.
Senior appointments of this kind reflect the continued development of the Kingdom's media sector, an area of growing importance to residents and expatriates who rely on official communication channels for news, services, and public information.
