AlQadsiah Named Kingdom's First Olympic Training Centre

AlQadsiah Club Company signed a cooperation agreement with the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee on 11 September 2026 at the committee's headquarters in Al Khobar Governorate, making the club's facility Saudi Arabia's first officially recognized multisport training center.

Under the agreement, AlQadsiah becomes the first Olympic Training Centre in the Kingdom, with recognition covering multiple Olympic and Paralympic sports rather than a single discipline. The recognized center is located within AlQadsiah Club's main sports complex in Al Khobar, in the Eastern Province.

The agreement sets out several goals: developing the national system for preparing elite athletes, identifying and nurturing sporting talent across different disciplines, strengthening technical and coaching competencies alongside sports science support, and building integrated, long-term athlete development pathways to boost international competitiveness.

What it means for local athletes

The deal gives athletes registered with the Saudi Olympic Training Centre in the Eastern Region access to AlQadsiah's facilities, equipment, and daily training environment close to where they live and study. The cooperation framework covers shared use of gyms, indoor halls, and pitches by Olympic Training Centre athletes, and coordination between technical staff, performance specialists, sports science experts, medical teams, and athlete monitoring units.

AlQadsiah's multisport offering currently includes football and a range of other sports through its academy and high-performance facilities. Participation and access conditions for national-team and Olympic Training Centre athletes are arranged directly between the club and the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, rather than through public fee schedules, and no membership costs for the new center have been made public.
