Bader bin Sulaiman bin Abdullah AlReziza was elected president of the Saudi Arabian Football Federation (SAFF) on 30 August 2026, during an Extraordinary General Assembly meeting held in الرياض. He will lead the federation for a four-year term running from 2026 to 2030.
AlReziza was elected by acclamation, as his candidate list was the only one that met the electoral requirements set for the vote. He succeeds Yasser Al-Misehal, who had served as SAFF president from 2019 to 2026.
Why it matters
The Saudi Arabian Football Federation oversees the sport at both the professional and grassroots levels across the Kingdom, from national teams to domestic competitions and youth development. Leadership changes at the top of the federation shape the direction of football administration for years to come.
The four-year mandate covers a period of continued growth for Saudi football, which has drawn wide public and international attention in recent seasons. Fans and communities in الرياض, جدة, and other cities are likely to follow the new administration's priorities closely as the sport continues to expand its reach across the Kingdom.
