The Saudi Sports for All Federation has launched a nationwide community sports initiative called "10 Billion Steps," running from July 2026 to December 2026 and open to residents and citizens across all regions of the Kingdom. Participants aim to record a combined 10 billion steps by the end of December 2026.
Taking part is free of charge. Individuals join through the Federation's mobile app and digital platform, sync their smartphones or wearable devices, log their daily steps, track their progress, and take part in step-based challenges and community activities. The campaign carries the slogan "Don't Count Your Steps… Let Them Count."
Park activations in Riyadh
Alongside the digital challenge, the Federation is running community walking activities in a number of Riyadh public parks, including Al-Taif Park, Al Kanari Park, Al Yaqot Park, Al-Deem Park and Al-Sahab Park. The park-based sessions are described as flexible activities suitable for families, youth, beginners and visitors, with no entry or participation fees specified.
The initiative sits within the Kingdom's Vision 2030 Quality of Life goals, which aim to raise physical activity participation rates and make daily movement a lasting everyday habit. By focusing on ordinary walking rather than formal exercise, the programme is designed to reach a wide cross-section of the community.
Steps counted toward the national target must be logged during the initiative period from launch until 31 December 2026, while some challenges inside the app may run as multi-month or year-round campaigns. Interested residents can join at any time through the Federation's app.
