Saudi-based construction technology startup BRKZ has secured $31 million in new capital to expand its AI-enabled building materials procurement platform across Saudi Arabia and the Gulf. The funding underscores growing investor appetite for technology that streamlines the Kingdom's fast-moving construction sector.
The $31 million package combines a $13 million Series B equity round with $18 million in growth debt drawn under an existing $30 million venture debt facility first agreed in October 2025. The equity round is co-led by Wa'ed Ventures and 500 Global, with participation from BECO Capital and Anb Seed Fund, and remains open to additional investors. The growth debt is provided by Stride Ventures.
BRKZ operates as a B2B managed marketplace and digital procurement platform for construction and building materials, connecting contractors with factories, distributors, and suppliers both locally and abroad. The platform currently serves more than 350 small and medium-sized enterprises through a network of around 1,600 suppliers and over 7,300 product listings covering building and industrial materials.
The new capital will advance the company's AI-powered pricing and fulfillment engine, which automates decisions on quotations, payment terms, and order routing. BRKZ's models, trained on roughly 40,000 quote requests, predict optimal supplier selection and target prices, and can deliver competitive quotes within about 20 minutes for many material categories.
Why it matters
BRKZ is also rolling out embedded financing solutions for contractors and suppliers, offering flexible payment terms aligned with construction project cash-flow cycles. This helps contractors access materials without large upfront costs. By improving pricing transparency, material availability, and procurement efficiency, the platform is positioned to support the Kingdom's multi-trillion-riyal project pipeline and the wider construction and industrial supply chains.
