The Ministry of Culture has completed its relocation to a new headquarters in the Northern District of Diriyah, positioned within an integrated urban master plan north of historic At-Turaif. The move consolidates the ministry's presence in Diriyah as a cultural and institutional anchor within a wider heritage and urban development area.
The new building is the largest standalone office in Diriyah, with a total built-up area of 33,168 square metres. It is designed in a contemporary Najdi architectural style that reflects Saudi heritage and creativity while integrating modern office functions.
The relocation follows a memorandum of understanding signed in mid-2022 between the Ministry of Culture and the Diriyah Gate Development Authority, establishing cooperation in planning, development, projects, initiatives, and cultural events within the Diriyah master plan.
Sustainability and mixed-use district
The headquarters has obtained both LEED Gold and Mostadam Gold sustainability certifications. It sits within a mixed-use Northern District that includes planned educational institutions, cultural venues, modern offices, and a luxury hotel, with the district's main construction contract valued at about USD 2 billion (around SAR 7.8 billion).
For residents and visitors, public-facing contact details for the Ministry of Culture list King Faisal Road, Bujairi, Diriyah 13711 as the address, with service hours Sunday to Thursday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and a unified contact number 800 118 9999.
No official announcements tie any service fees, digital channel requirements, or new validity periods directly to this relocation. The move is centred on establishing the ministry's home within Diriyah as a district designed for living and working.
