Saudi Arabia has appointed Fahd bin Abduljalil bin Ali Al-Saif as the new Minister of Investment, under a royal order issued on 12 February 2026.
The order also moved the outgoing minister, Khalid Al-Falih, to the position of Minister of State. He remains a member of the Cabinet.
The appointment was made through a royal order issued by the Saudi leadership, marking a change at the top of the ministry responsible for attracting and organizing local and foreign investment in the Kingdom.
The وزارة الاستثمار plays a central role in supporting business activity and enabling investors to establish and expand operations in Saudi Arabia. Leadership at the ministry is closely watched by companies and the wider business community, including residents and expatriates working across sectors in cities such as الرياض and جدة.
For the community, continuity at the ministry is significant because investment policy directly affects job creation, new projects, and economic opportunities. The transition keeps both figures within the Cabinet, with Al-Falih continuing in government as Minister of State.
Saudi Living will follow any further updates related to the ministry and its work.
