flynas Builds SAR 200M Aviation Training Center in Riyadh

flynas has broken ground on an advanced aviation training center in Riyadh, backed by an investment of more than SAR 200 million. The facility is being built in the Al Rimal district on a site of around 13,000 square meters, less than 10 minutes by car from King Khalid International Airport, with operations expected to begin in 2028.

Once open, the center is designed to handle around 700 trainees a day, covering both pilots and cabin crew. Its first phase will include three advanced flight simulators, with the design allowing for up to eight simulators and possible future expansion to 14 as demand grows.

What the center will offer

The training scope brings together pilot training, cabin crew training, and safety and service programs under one roof, aligned with international aviation standards. The center is intended to support the airline's fleet and network expansion while building a pipeline of national Saudi talent for specialized aviation roles.

By developing training in-house, flynas aims to reduce its reliance on external training centers, lower overall training costs, and improve efficiency. The project is being delivered with technology and project partners including Airbus, CAE, and Restart, who are contributing simulator and training solutions.

For now, the facility remains under construction and is not yet open to trainees. There are no publicly disclosed course fees, simulator rates, admission steps, or registration channels, and no operational details have been released. Saudi Living will share updates as more information becomes available ahead of the planned 2028 launch.
