The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has concluded the latest cohort of Game by CODE, a three-month game incubator run through the Center of Digital Entrepreneurship (CODE) in partnership with the National Technology Development Program. The 2025–2026 edition ran from October 2025 to January 2026 across Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al-Hofuf, and is now closed.
The program was open to university students, young entrepreneurs, and game developers, giving participants a structured path into the local gaming industry at no cost. Registration took place in September 2025 through CODE's official program portal under the Game by CODE listing, and no participation fee was charged.
What participants gained
The incubator offered four tracks: game art, game programming, game design, and entrepreneurship. Participants worked in teams and received mentorship, technical guidance, practical training, and access to incubator resources throughout the three months. The experience concluded with project presentations delivered to gaming-industry experts and investors.
The best team from each city earned a place in the MVPLab program, giving standout projects a route to further development.
The initiative reflects growing local investment in digital entrepreneurship and the gaming sector, offering young Saudi talent hands-on training and direct exposure to industry professionals. For students and aspiring developers, programs like this provide practical experience and networking opportunities that are often difficult to access elsewhere. No new registration window for a 2026 cohort has been announced; those interested can watch CODE's official channels for future editions.
