Golf Saudi has been appointed operator of The National Golf Club under a five-year management agreement, taking charge of golf operations, events, course management, and player development. The club sits in the Qiddiya City development, roughly 45 km from Riyadh, beneath the dramatic Tuwaiq cliffs.
The 18-hole course was designed by Sir Nick Faldo and opened on 30 October 2026. A key feature for the community is that membership is not required. The venue is open to professional golfers, amateurs, families, tourists, and people picking up the sport for the first time.
At launch, a temporary clubhouse is in operation, with a permanent clubhouse, driving range, and academy planned for 2028 as the facility expands.
Rates and what to bring
Saudi residents can access a resident rate by presenting a valid Saudi National ID or Iqama, while juniors under 18 can get a discounted rate by showing valid age identification. Standard guests do not need any identification for the standard public rate. If the required ID for a discounted rate is not presented, the remaining balance for the standard guest rate will be charged.
Public green-fee prices, exact charges in Saudi Riyal, operating hours, and booking steps are confirmed through the official The National Golf Club website, along with coaching and guest-experience details.
For residents and visitors in the Riyadh area, the opening adds a major new leisure and sports destination within easy reach of the capital, broadening the Kingdom's growing range of accessible golf options for all skill levels.
