Jeddah to Host Arabian Gulf Cup 27 in 2026

Jeddah will host the 27th Arabian Gulf Cup (Khaleeji 27) from 23 September to 6 October 2026, marking the first time the city stages the tournament in its history. All 15 matches will be played across two venues in Jeddah, with the final set for the evening of Tuesday 6 October.

The competition brings together eight national teams split into two groups. Group A features Saudi Arabia, Iraq, Oman and Kuwait, while Group B includes Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain and Yemen. Matches run from the group stage through to the final over the two-week period.

The tournament opens on 23 September 2026 — Saudi National Day. Saudi Arabia face Kuwait in the opener at King Abdullah Sports City – Al-Inma Stadium ("The Jewel") in northern Jeddah at around 21:00, with a capacity exceeding 62,000. Earlier the same day, Iraq meet Oman at Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Stadium in southeast Jeddah, which holds about 27,000, at around 17:30. The final will be held at Al-Inma Stadium.

Tickets and stadium access

Tickets are being sold through the official online platform for all 15 matches on a match-by-match basis. Standard group-stage tickets are advertised in tiers roughly equivalent to SAR 50–100, while knockout and final tickets range from about SAR 75–150, depending on category and seat location.

Tickets are primarily digital and delivered as QR codes for scanning at stadium gates. Purchase requires online registration and payment by local bank cards or major international cards. Entry requires a valid ticket and compliance with security and crowd-management rules, including bag checks and restricted-item lists at both stadiums.

For residents and visitors in Jeddah, the event offers a rare chance to watch top regional teams up close, while boosting the city's hospitality, transport and tourism sectors during the two-week run.
