Jeddah will host the fifth edition of the Innovation Driven Water Sustainability Conference (IDWS 2026), a global gathering organized by the Saudi Water Authority and held at The Ritz-Carlton, Jeddah. The event is scheduled for December 2026, with dates listed as 7–9 December in the authority's events calendar and 14–16 December in recent announcements.
The conference is expected to draw more than 10,000 participants from over 140 countries, alongside more than 250 speakers and an accompanying exhibition featuring around 150 exhibitors and global brands. It is classified as a global conference and remains upcoming.
What's on the agenda
Scientific sessions will cover a wide range of tracks, including desalination technologies and energy integration; water reclamation, reuse and circular systems; industrial water solutions; and the use of artificial intelligence and digital, autonomous and cyber-resilient water operations. Other themes address agriculture and food-system water, water infrastructure and asset management, and water quality and emerging contaminants.
Running alongside the conference, the Global Prize for Innovation in Water (GPIW) ceremony is scheduled in Jeddah around the same period, with a prize value announced at roughly USD 10 million for water innovation awards.
For residents and professionals in the water, energy, technology and agriculture sectors, the event offers a chance to engage with global expertise on one of the Kingdom's most pressing priorities: securing a sustainable water future. Registration and event information are available directly through the official conference website, IDWSC.com, in both Arabic and English.
