Portuguese forward João Félix was named the Saudi Pro League player of the season for the 2025–26 campaign, finishing ahead of teammate and compatriot Cristiano Ronaldo for the league's top individual honor.
The recognition places Félix at the center of a season that saw strong individual performances across the competition. Contrary to some reports, Ronaldo was not the winner of the player of the season award this year.
Ronaldo, however, was far from empty-handed. He played a key role in helping Al-Nassr lift the Saudi Pro League title, scoring twice in the decisive match against Damac that sealed the championship for his club.
Beyond the title, Ronaldo picked up several other end-of-season honors. He was voted Fans' Player of the Season and also claimed the award for Goal of the Season, underlining his continued impact on and off the pitch.
Why it matters
The Saudi Pro League has drawn growing global attention in recent seasons, with high-profile signings raising the competition's profile both at home and abroad. For fans in Riyadh, Jeddah, and across the Kingdom, the individual awards reflect a season packed with quality and competition at the top of the table.
The spread of honors between Félix and Ronaldo highlights the depth of talent now on show in the league, as clubs continue to invest in world-class players and build toward a stronger, more competitive future.
