King Saud University concluded its Mawhiba Academic and Global Enrichment Programs on 18 September 2026 at the university's Main Hall in Riyadh, wrapping up a season that hosted more than 600 students across more than 14 enrichment units.
The Academic Enrichment Program brought together 149 students in specialized units spanning medicine, artificial intelligence, computer science, cybersecurity, investment and economics, mechanical engineering, and aerospace engineering. The Global Enrichment Program included 151 students in medical sciences, engineering, data science and artificial intelligence, digital forensics, engineering drawing, and space sciences.
Organizers said the 2026 programs relied on experimentation, teamwork, and practical projects to build research and scientific-thinking skills among participants, targeting talented students in Grades 9–11.
How the programs ran
The Mawhiba Universal Enrichment Program at King Saud University ran for three weeks in a residential format, from 4 July to 23 July 2026. Published guardian contribution fees for 2026 were SAR 4,025 for full-time male students and SAR 2,530 for part-time female students, including value-added tax. Eligibility for these fee categories required a Mawhiba test qualification score of 1,400.
Registration was completed through the Mawhiba account by confirming profile information, registering via the service system, selecting the program and course, accepting the terms, and paying the contribution. Participants received a Mawhiba and host-institution certificate on achieving at least 70% attendance.
Programs like these support the wider national push to nurture gifted young talent and equip students with advanced skills in science, engineering, and technology — an investment that resonates with families across Riyadh and beyond seeking richer academic opportunities for their children.
