Riyadh hosted LEAP 2026 from 31 August to 3 September 2026 at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham, bringing together technology leaders, investors, and companies for four days of discussions on the future of digital innovation in the Kingdom.
The event placed artificial intelligence at the center of its agenda, alongside advanced technology, digital infrastructure, data centers, cloud computing, technology manufacturing, and venture capital. Announced investments, partnerships, and initiatives were valued at nearly SAR 56.25 billion.
Why it matters
The scale of the commitments signals continued momentum for the Kingdom's growing technology sector, which is a key pillar of the national economic transformation. Investment in data centers, cloud services, and technology manufacturing supports the digital infrastructure that residents and businesses across Riyadh, Jeddah, and other cities rely on every day.
The focus on venture capital also points to expanding opportunities for startups and entrepreneurs, while the emphasis on artificial intelligence reflects how the technology is increasingly shaping services and industries across the country.
Separately, Riyadh hosted the Global AI Summit from 15 to 17 September 2026, further underlining the capital's role as a regional hub for technology and artificial intelligence discussions.
