LEAP 2026: SAR 3.2bn Tech Deals on Day Three

Riyadh's LEAP 2026 technology conference reported new investment announcements worth SAR 3.2 billion (about USD 857 million) on its third day, spanning venture capital, cloud computing, local manufacturing, and digital infrastructure projects. The event ran from 31 August to 3 September 2026 at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham.

Venture capital announcements on day three reached about USD 293 million across 11 deals, forming part of the day's total. Nine startup funding rounds accounted for USD 126.15 million, while one new fund and one fund expansion committed a further USD 166.7 million in capital. Among the highlights, the Saudi travel technology platform FlyAkeed secured SAR 94.3 million in growth funding, combining an equity round with Murabaha sukuk financing.

On the infrastructure side, the Khuzam Digital Valley data center project by NHC Innovation was announced with a total planned investment of SAR 3.3 billion, reinforcing the Kingdom's digital backbone.

A record four days

Across the full four days, LEAP 2026 saw nearly USD 15 billion in announced investments and agreements covering AI infrastructure, data centers, cloud computing, technology manufacturing, and venture capital. The fifth edition hosted around 1,000+ speakers, 1,900+ investors, 1,800+ global technology brands, and 600+ startups, with tracks in AI, cybersecurity, smart cities, fintech, healthcare, space, gaming, and mobility.

The scale continues a strong trend: across its first four Riyadh editions before 2026, LEAP announced cumulative launches and investments exceeding USD 44.2 billion. For residents and expats working in tech, startups, and investment, the figures signal expanding local opportunities in one of the region's fastest-growing digital economies. Registration and ticketing for LEAP are handled directly through the organizer's official online portal, with paid entry and daily timings of roughly 12:00 to 21:00 (Arabia Standard Time).
