Magrabi Health Named World's First Eye Care Network of Excellence

Magrabi Health has been recognized in 2026 as the world's first "Network of Excellence in Ophthalmology," following a network-wide assessment of its eye-care services, physicians, facilities, and clinical processes. The recognition marks a milestone for specialty eye care available to residents and expats across Saudi Arabia.

The accreditation covers a network of eye-care centers and day-surgery facilities in the Kingdom, including the Magrabi Health Daycase Surgery Center in Jeddah, the Eye and Ear Center on Airport Road in Al Madina Al Monawara, the Eye and Dental Center in the Kuday district of Makkah, the Day Surgery Center in Al Mubarraz in Al Ahsa, and the Eye, Dental and ENT Hospital in Abha, Aseer.

The evaluation was based on clinical outcomes, patient safety, standardized evidence-based practices, quality-improvement programs, qualified physicians, multidisciplinary teams, patient-experience programs, and governance and leadership, alongside ongoing measurement of quality indicators across the network. Several centers hold dual status in 2026 as both Centers of Excellence in Ophthalmology and part of the Network of Excellence.

Why it matters

For patients, the network operates with extended daily hours. The Al Madina Eye and Ear Center on Airport Road, for example, opens Saturday from 9:00 to 13:00 and 17:00 to 21:00, and Sunday through Thursday from 9:00 to 21:00. Magrabi Health also runs a Saudi ophthalmology residency training program recognized by the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, with a four-year residency for ophthalmologists.

Booking and inquiries for Saudi branches are available through the central call center on 920018000 and via WhatsApp, with branch pages listing working hours and locations.
