Saudi Arabia launched its 2026 annual national blood-donation campaign on 6 October 2026, as Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman donated blood to mark the start of the initiative. The campaign calls on citizens and residents across the Kingdom to take part in regular voluntary donation.
The campaign aims to encourage ongoing blood donation as an act of social responsibility and to strengthen national self-sufficiency in blood and blood components, ensuring a steady and reliable supply for patients who need it.
Donating blood is free of charge, with no fees required. Citizens and residents can give blood at accredited donation centers located across the country, making participation accessible in cities nationwide.
How to book an appointment
Donors can reserve their appointments electronically through the Sehhaty application, which allows them to choose a convenient time at a nearby center. Scheduling in advance helps streamline the process and reduce waiting times.
For the community, the campaign is a reminder of how a simple, voluntary act can directly support hospitals and save lives. Regular donors play a key role in keeping blood supplies stable throughout the year, especially during periods of higher demand.
