New Contractor Qualification Service via Balady A'mal

The Ministry of Municipalities and Housing has launched an online service to qualify contracting firms working in the municipal sector, available through the Balady A'mal platform. The service allows companies to submit their data and documents, undergo evaluation against unified readiness standards, and obtain accreditation for targeted municipal services and fields.

The step replaces the previous ad hoc handling of qualification with a single, standardized online process. The ministry has expanded qualification to cover a broader range of municipal services, all assessed under the same unified criteria on Balady A'mal.

What contractors need

To qualify, contracting firms must hold a valid commercial registration and a valid municipal license, along with the required classification certificate and memberships. They also need sufficient technical staff and expertise, and must complete all required data and documents on the platform.

Firms have until 30 June 2027 to complete their qualification and accreditation requirements. The service is currently accessible through Balady A'mal, and the ministry's listed customer care number for Balady is 199040.

The move matters to the many contracting companies operating across the Kingdom, as it clarifies the path to accreditation and standardizes the criteria they must meet to take on municipal work. Firms are encouraged to review their documents early and complete the process well ahead of the deadline.
