Public Investment Fund has launched Tawrid Company for Financing Solutions (Tawrid Co.), a digital platform that provides supply-chain financing products to companies operating in the Saudi market. The company is designed to support Saudi private-sector businesses and small and medium-sized enterprises, strengthen local supply chains, and improve working capital and liquidity management.
Tawrid has received a permit from the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) to operate within SAMA's Regulatory Sandbox environment. As of September 2026, the company is operational under the Sandbox and has signed binding agreements with local banks and companies.
How the platform works
Tawrid operates as a digital platform connecting buyers, suppliers, and funders such as banks and financiers. Registered banks on the network can engage directly with registered suppliers to arrange financing. Its core product is short-term supply chain financing, including early settlement and early payment of approved invoices for suppliers.
The financing is designed to improve working capital efficiency, support liquidity management and cash flows, and enable businesses to expand operations while enhancing supply-chain resilience. Among the institutions that have signed binding agreements are Gulf International Bank, Saudi National Bank, Banque Saudi Fransi, ROSHN Group, and Nesma & Partners.
The launch reflects broader efforts under PIF's Supplier Development Program initiatives, which identify supply chain financing as a short-term solution to facilitate early invoice payments and support the working capital and cash-flow needs of suppliers. For local companies and SMEs, faster access to cash tied up in invoices can ease liquidity pressures and open room to grow.
