Princess Haifa bint Mohammed named Cabinet adviser

Princess Haifa bint Mohammed Al Saud has been appointed adviser at the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers with the rank of minister, under a royal order issued on 24 Sha'ban 1447, corresponding to 12 February 2026.

The same royal order relieved Princess Haifa of her previous post as Deputy Minister of Tourism. The order was published in the official gazette Umm Al-Qura on 13 February 2026.

The appointment reflects the ongoing movement of senior officials within Saudi Arabia's government institutions, as the Kingdom continues to strengthen leadership across its ministries and central bodies.

The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers supports the work of the Council, which oversees the executive functions of government. Advisers appointed at this level contribute to the coordination and follow-up of national policy across sectors.

For residents and expatriates, appointments at this level are part of the broader institutional framework that shapes the services, regulations, and long-term plans affecting daily life in the Kingdom.
