Princess Reema Joins Women's Sports Network as Adviser

Princess Reema bint Bandar Al Saud, Saudi Arabia's ambassador to the United States, has joined the All Women's Sports Network (AWSN) as an adviser. The appointment took effect on 6 October 2026.

In her new role, Princess Reema will support the network's efforts to raise the international profile of women athletes, with a particular focus on the Middle East. The move aligns with the growing momentum behind women's participation in sport across the region in recent years.

As part of its regional expansion, AWSN plans to hold its first Middle Eastern sports festival in the first quarter of 2027, with a venue in Saudi Arabia. The organisers have not yet announced the specific location, ticket prices, event timings, or the official registration channel for the festival.

Why it matters

For residents and fans across Riyadh, Jeddah and beyond, a major women's sports festival would add to the Kingdom's expanding calendar of international sporting and cultural events. Increased global exposure can also open new pathways for local women athletes to compete and be seen on an international stage.

Saudi Living will share further details on the festival — including venue, dates, timings, and how to register — once they are officially confirmed.
