Qassim region has recorded about 1.2 million visitors during its most recent domestic tourism season, with tourism spending reaching around SAR 880 million, in a clear sign of the strength of domestic travel across the Kingdom.
The seasonal figures form part of a wider growth trend. By the end of the third quarter of 2025, Qassim had welcomed roughly 3.7 million tourists in total, covering both domestic and inbound visitors, with combined tourism spending of about SAR 4.5 billion. Average spending 217 in 2025, with an average stay of about 9.2 nights.
Growth was evident earlier in the year as well. In the first half of 2025, Qassim recorded 142,000 tourists and total spending of about SAR 642 million, an increase of roughly 123% in tourism spending compared with 2023.
Buraidah and Unaizah lead
Buraidah attracted about 90,000 tourists in the first half of 2025, with tourism spending of around SAR 362.2 million, representing about 56% of total regional spending. Unaizah recorded the highest average individual spending 618, along with the longest average stay in the region at about 67 nights. Other governorates, including Ar Rass and smaller municipalities, together drew about 26,000 tourists with spending exceeding SAR 139 million in the same period.
The numbers matter for residents and expats alike, pointing to expanding hospitality, dining and leisure options across Qassim's cities. Nationally, tourism in Saudi Arabia reached about 122 to 123 million tourists in 2025, with total spending near SAR 300 billion, placing Qassim's seasonal spending as a small but steadily rising share of the country's tourism economy.
