Rafha Governorate is expanding neighborhood sports fields and establishing specialized sports academies to increase youth sports activity and support structured talent development across local districts.
The move is part of wider municipal “humanizing” and community-development projects in Rafha that include new sports tracks, outdoor fitness equipment stations, and upgraded parks and walkways. Municipal sports and park areas under the program cover about 3 million square meters, with sports tracks and fitness stations integrated into 43 public parks and more than 50 fitness stations.
These neighborhood facilities and academies operate mainly as community venues focused on youth and family sports, offering multi-sport courts and training environments. Use of public parks, walking tracks, and outdoor fitness equipment in Rafha is typically free of charge, with no reported changes to paid-entry requirements for these outdoor facilities.
How registration works
Access to neighborhood sports facilities is generally free or low-cost. Specific field rental fees and academy tuition for Rafha are not publicly specified. However, the initiatives are supported by national community sports programs that use neighborhood clubs as a model, with typical current fees of: 10 SAR 40 SAR per month for children (about 6–15 years); 60 SAR per month for youth and adults (15+); 120 SAR and 200 SAR
Fees are paid at the club or through the neighborhood clubs online registration system. Registration is handled through the dedicated neighborhood clubs platform or by on-site registration at the club, not through national e-government apps. For residents and families in Rafha, the expansion means more accessible spaces for daily exercise, structured coaching, and a healthier community lifestyle.
