Riyadh Falcon Auction Opens With SR540,000 Sales

The first night of the International Falcon Breeders Auction opened in Malham, north of Riyadh, with two falcons selling for a combined SR540,000, marking a strong start to the season's bidding.

one falcon fetched SR380,000 while a second sold for SR160,000. The auction is organized by the National Center for Falcons at its headquarters in Malham.

The auction is listed to run from 1 October 2026 to 30 November 2026 in Riyadh, with daily sessions held from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Organizers note that buying and selling transactions are conducted without any fees.

Falconry holds a long-standing place in Saudi heritage, and dedicated auctions like this one give breeders, collectors, and enthusiasts a regulated venue to trade prized birds. For residents and expats curious about this part of local culture, the evening sessions offer a chance to see the tradition up close as the season unfolds.
