Riyadh is set to host the second World Stadiums and Arenas Summit on 14–15 October 2026 at the Hilton Riyadh Hotel & Residences, bringing together specialists in venue design, development, investment, and technology as the Kingdom expands its sports-infrastructure sector.
The two-day event will cover stadium and arena design, development, operations, investment, smart-venue technology, and sustainability — reflecting the growing scale of sports projects across Saudi Arabia.
The Kingdom's sports-infrastructure market is projected to exceed $22 billion, approximately SAR 82.5 billion, by 2030. The wider sports industry is expected to contribute around $16.5 billion, roughly SAR 61.9 billion, to the national economy annually by the same year.
Why it matters
The summit signals the accelerating pace of sports development tied to the Kingdom's national goals. For residents and expats in Riyadh and Jeddah, the expansion points to more modern venues, new entertainment options, and job opportunities across design, construction, operations, and technology.
By hosting the summit, Riyadh positions itself as a regional hub for discussions on the future of stadiums and arenas, from smart-venue systems to sustainable operations.
