Roblox to Open Regional Headquarters in Riyadh

Roblox has announced plans to establish its regional headquarters for the Middle East and North Africa in Riyadh, in a move aimed at supporting game creators and strengthening Saudi Arabia's growing digital entertainment sector.

The company said the new base in Riyadh will focus on supporting local game creators and the wider creator ecosystem in the Kingdom, helping developers build, publish, and grow their work within the platform.

the initiative is being supported by the وزارة الاستثمار, the Riyadh Creative District, and the General Authority of Media Regulation. The move is tied to Saudi Arabia's broader efforts to expand its digital economy in line with رؤية السعودية 2030.

Why it matters

Gaming and digital entertainment have become a rising priority in the Kingdom, and a regional headquarters from one of the world's most widely used creation platforms is expected to open new opportunities for Saudi developers, designers, and young talent looking to build careers in the sector.

By anchoring its MENA operations in الرياض, the platform positions the city as a hub for creators across the region, supporting local content, skills development, and the digital creative economy.

سعودي ليفنج will share further details on programs, training, or opportunities for creators as they become officially confirmed.
