SAPTCO Wins SR470M Jubail School Transport Deal

سابتكو (SAPTCO) has secured a major government contract to provide school transport services in Jubail Industrial City, in an agreement signed with the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu (General Administration of the Jubail Project). The contract is valued at SAR 470,202,973.65 including VAT and runs for five years.

The award was notified on 9 July 2026, announced on 12 July 2026, and the contract was formally signed on 29 August 2026. As of the end of August 2026, the agreement has entered its implementation phase, with its financial impact expected to begin reflecting in the company's results from the third quarter of 2026.

Under the deal, سابتكو will handle school transport for schools across Jubail Industrial City for the full five-year term measured from the signing date. The disclosed amount is a total contract value covering the whole period, not a per-student or per-trip fee; no per-student or per-route price schedule has been published in the available contract summary.

Why it matters

The agreement is a business-to-government arrangement between سابتكو and a Royal Commission entity, rather than a citizen self-service product. That means there is no direct registration or payment process for parents through platforms such as أبشر, ناجز, or توكلنا tied to this specific contract; enrolment and daily operational arrangements are managed at the school and administrative level.

For families in Jubail Industrial City, the contract signals continuity and scale in school transport provision over the coming years, backed by one of the Kingdom's largest public transport operators. The multi-year value also underscores the ongoing role of government procurement contracts in supporting essential community services across Saudi industrial cities.
