Saudi AI Startup Gaia Raises $1.5M for Enterprise Platform

A Saudi artificial intelligence startup called Gaia has secured USD 1.5 million in an early funding round in 2026, led by a Saudi venture fund. The Riyadh-based company plans to use the capital to scale its sovereign enterprise AI platform built for organizations operating in the Kingdom.

Gaia positions its product around data residency, data sovereignty, and compliance with local regulations — priorities for Saudi companies that want advanced AI without moving sensitive information outside their control. The platform connects enterprise knowledge, systems, and workflows, including files, emails, CRM, and ERP systems, into what the company describes as a unified enterprise intelligence layer.

Among its core features, the platform offers semantic search across internal systems, returning answers grounded in an organization's own documents, records, and messages. It also applies permission-aware access control, so employees only see information they are authorized to access. Generative AI assistants and specialized AI agents are designed to automate tasks and support departments such as sales and supply chain.

Deployment and languages

Saudi enterprises can deploy Gaia on-premise within their own infrastructure, in a private cloud, or in an air-gapped setup for highly regulated environments with no external network connectivity. The platform operates bilingually in Arabic and English, matching how many Saudi organizations run their internal content and operations.

As of 2026, Gaia is in a private early-access phase. Companies can join a waitlist by submitting their organization details through the company's official website, with priority given to Saudi firms and regulated sectors such as financial services. After registering, Gaia's team schedules an exploratory call to assess fit and deployment needs. Pricing is custom and negotiated case-by-case, based on deployment type, scale, and regulatory requirements, with no public SAR tiers disclosed.

The funding reflects growing momentum in Saudi Arabia's technology sector, where local solutions built around sovereignty and compliance are increasingly relevant to businesses and regulated industries across the Kingdom.
