Saudi Arabia has moved forward with a national plan to empower young people, launching a Youth Development Strategy that runs through 2030 as part of رؤية السعودية 2030. The strategy was introduced by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and brings together a wide package of programs aimed at expanding opportunities for youth across the Kingdom.
The strategy is made up of 20 initiatives and 40 projects, structured around five main pillars and 10 strategic goals. Among its priorities are raising youth participation in national development, involving young people in decision-making, and strengthening their role in community activity.
Several youth-focused programs already sit under this broader umbrella. These include Doroob, which offers e-training to build practical skills, and Tamheer, a training track designed to help graduates gain workplace experience. Together, such programs are intended to improve young people's readiness for the labor market, support entrepreneurship, and open new paths for participation.
Why it matters
For the Kingdom's large and growing youth population, the strategy signals a coordinated, long-term commitment to skills, jobs, and community engagement rather than a single one-off service. Its wide scope means young residents may see more training options, graduate pathways, and chances to take part in shaping projects that affect their communities.
As the plan is rolled out through 2030, families and young people in الرياض, جدة, and other cities can expect continued expansion of youth programs tied to the country's broader development goals. سعودي ليفنج will follow updates as further details on individual initiatives become available.
